Be Green Be Kind, Be Giving Campaign
December 3, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Be Green, Be Kind, Be Giving Campaign.
Take a breath and ask yourself one important question: how much stuff is enough? It turns out, reducing rates of consumption and ethically decluttering is not only better for the planet, it also benefits your well-being. Multiple mental health benefits include lowered stress levels and improved focus.
During the campaign we are asking UQ students and staff to ethically declutter their lives and give away their unwanted stuff to help out our local community.
“We know people are becoming overwhelmed but stuff and increasingly aware of the psychological benefits of ethically decluttering their homes in an ethical way, gaining peace of mind while avoiding landfill and preserving the environment. I temper the valve before it hits boiling point and see STUFF dumped on the side of the road or charities inundated with rubbish. Our webinar is designed to show that with a customised PLAN, life can be so much more enjoyable and productive, without costing the earth.”
“I introduce participants in a fun but serious way how to use- THE 10 R’s© Rethink, Responsible, Refuse, Repurpose, Reorganise, Repair, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Reward. The purpose of the webinar is to get people thinking how they can simply organise their way of doing everyday activities so that they can: Save time, money and reduce our carbon footprint.” says Tanya
